The GFWC Lake Placid Woman’s Club efforts to begin a Jr. Club are going great!  Meet & Greet Invitations as well as Membership Drive Announcements were distributed and ads were placed in local newspapers.  Our second Membership Drive generated a wonderful, diverse group of women ranging from business owners to bankers, attorneys, a newspaper journalist and more.  The new club is being structured to accommodate working women and those whose schedules are better suited to evening gatherings.

Eighteen membership applications and checks have been received and there are more to come.  The ladies ages range from the mid-twenties to 65.  It was so great to see such excitement in the group and several mentioned that there is “buzz” going around town about the new club.
